To teach a first-grade lesson which would include the following skills components:
- Expand comprehension by questioning ideas and information; then revisit the questions to confirm whether they were answered in the story.
- Model the following comprehension strategies: checking for understanding, crosschecking, inferring, and synthesizing.
- Model fluent reading, using appropriate phrasing, pacing and pausing.
To demonstrate strategies for involving and engaging all students. |
