To teach a third grade comprehension lesson which would include the following skills components:
- Metacognitive modeling of Before, During and After reading strategies that good readers use for comprehension, fluency and accuracy.
- Metacognitive modeling of the comprehension skill of asking questions
- Explore how personification is used in fiction
- Build vocabulary through reading and listening
- Help students recognize text-to-text connections
- Help students expand comprehension by analyzing, interpreting and synthesizing information and ideas
To demonstrate strategies for involving and engaging all students. |
